Mexican 55

Yield: 1 drink
- 1 ounce tequila, preferably a 100% agave silver tequila
- ½ ounce fresh lemon juice
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- champagne, dry
- 1 lime wedge
- Combine tequila, lemon juice, simple syrup and bitters in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice and shake well.
- Strain into a champagne flute and top with champagne.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
